Thin Print (print without drivers and without slowing the remote users)

Thin Print

Whenever applications are delivered using "thin client" technologies such as Citrix or Terminal Services two ugly problems occur.

1) as soon as anyone on a remote site tries to print the remote site users find the system slows and often grinds to a halt sometimes even disconnecting their sessions.

2) installing printers on thin client servers is the greatest cause of instability on those servers and leads to frequent crashing and the need for re-installs.

The DRIVER FREE PRINTING technology in .print Application Server Engine makes server-side installation of printer drivers unnecessary. This .print technology includes a high-performance compression system with which analyses a document and optimally compress it before sending it.

In combination with a dedicated print server, .print Application Server Engine puts the print data into the thin client virtual channel and send it directly to the client. This allows it to reach printers that are hiding behind a firewall or a Network Address Translation (NAT) and therefore can not be otherwise reached.

The latest release of ThinPrint prints up to five times faster. The new version is improving service in the areas of client/server, web, or mobile applications. It can also be used for generally optimizing print job processing over WAN connections

  • Print five times faster thanks to Adaptive Speed
  • Extended platform support and integration
  • Driver Free Native Printing
  • .print AutoConnect: Variables
  • Two license models: server- and user-based licensing
  • Central license management

Are you running a 64-bit terminal server or planning to do so? Then you need the 64-bit version of the .print Application Server Engine. The 64-bit version enables all of the advantages of the .print technology for your 64-bit environment. Because this version also ensures the use of your 32-bit printers, it minimizes the hardware investment of migration to the new Windows platform
